This guide goes through the steps necessary to integrate Backtrace with VictorOps. Setting up integration with the VictorOps incident management system requires a valid VictorOps REST Endpoint for sending alerts.
These are the main steps for setting up VictorOps:
Generate a REST Endpoint
Within VictorOps, click settings on the upper-left, then Integrations on the navbar at the top. In the incoming alerts section on the right, click on REST Endpoint, then on the green "Enable Integration" button.
Once this is done, you'll use the Post URL that appears as the
url in the Coronerd Configuration below.
To set up the integration, first go to the Configuration page within the Web Console:
Next, select the project you want to add a integration for:
Then click Integrations in the left-hand menu, then Create a New Integration on the right, and pick the integration:
These are the settings that you can configure for your VictorOps integration:
|Endpoint||Yes||VictorOps REST Endpoint. Looks like https://alert.victorops.com/integrations/generic/20131114/alert/uuid|
|Message Type||Yes||INFO, WARNING, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, CRITICAL, or RECOVERY|
|Entity Display Name||No||Used within VictorOps to display a human-readable name for the entity. Defaults to 'BACKTRACE'|
|Routing Key||No||Optional key for routing alerts to a specific team. If provided, this is appended to the URL|
